How long have you lived in Middlesex County? What made you decide to live here?
I’ve lived in Middlesex County six years this September! I moved here from Long Island, NY in 2013 because I coincidentally got my first teaching job in the district my husband, then fiancé, was from. We love Middlesex for the open space and quieter, more simple lifestyle. We knew then that we would eventually want to raise our family here. We’re so glad we did!
How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
Two beautiful daughters, Mairen (3.5 years) and Mae (2 years this month).
What are some of your favorite things to do with your children?
We love to go to local playgrounds and also drive to discover new playgrounds! In the summers, we frequent Long Beach Island, especially Fantasy Island! We also belong to Lifetime where we swim in the pool and the kids take swim lessons. During the other seasons, they enjoy taking classes at their Kids Academy (tumbling, ballet, sports skills, arts & crafts) while I get exercise in too!
Where is your favorite place to eat in Middlesex County?
Molto Bene on Main Street in Cranbury. The menu is authentic Italian and changes seasonally. The braised short ribs are melt in your mouth delicious!
What’s been your favorite “mommy moment” so far?
Being home with my kids has been such a blessing. Each day is better than the last because I’m watching them develop and grow into these amazing little beings.

Since having kids, I wanted to make healthier decisions for myself and my family, and unexpectedly started down a health and wellness “journey”. Today, I write a blog, www.lavenderandloveessentials.com where I educate, encourage, and inspire people how to use essential oils and nontoxic products to better support their and their families health and wellness.
